Iran has for the longest time now been a foe to Israel state. All these due to terror attacks that majorly link back to the Iranian state. Israel comes out clearly on Tuesday to state that it would not support the US to restore US-Iran nuclear strategy. In fact, Israel warns of more stringent sanctions and a credible military threat against Iran. The new administration under President Joe Biden has been busy trying to foster its relations with the Iranians. A relationship that was severed by the former president Donald Trump with Israel at the forefront to welcome Trump’s move.
Biden`s move to restore sanctions between the US and Iran put Israel at a crossroad. However, one thing is sure, Israel completely disregards the efforts of the US new administration. Despite Biden`s effort to seek support from the Middle East countries, Israel is not set to support the US. The Israel Ambassador, Gilad Erdan, confirms Israel not being part of the Iran-US deal.
Israel continues to press hard on its plans for the Iranian nation. Additionally, Israel depicts that efforts to return to the deal might weaken the current sanctions. Hence, all leverages the country had will be lost. Therefore, deeming the steps to prevent Iran from breaking from nuclear weapon manufacture futile completely.
US-Iran Nuclear strategy
According to President Joe Biden, he hopes that once the deal reaches restoration, it will lengthen the constraints. The initial 2015 value is set to expire in 2025 as it was a 10-year deal. Iran continues to deny the allegations of disobeying the set sanctions by producing nuclear weapons. The US hopes to lengthen this timeline as well as strengthen its ties between the two states. This means the restored deal will bring in new sanctions to the table. In the meantime, the US is waiting for Iran to make the first move.
