Nine civilians lost their lives after attackers opened fire on them. Nineteen others were missing after the attack. The civilians were living in the Mopti region of central Mali. About 50 unidentified heavily armed men riding on motorbikes and in 4×4 vehicles opened fire on helpless civilians killing at least nine of them.
