Response to critics

Following the Wuhan, a city in China, virus being declared a global emergency by the world health organization, countries across the globe have been bracing efforts to abstain from it. The novel virus, known as COVID- 19, has led to about 1500deaths in china with a single case reported in Asia within the Pacific region. Chinese foreign minister concedes that the virus was a greater disaster but affirmed that Beijing’s management of epidemics had the situation in control. He rebuked the states that halted their trade relations for fear of contracting the virus. He made such remarks following an order that Chinese citizens who had migrated back to foreign lands quarantined. This is because of their extended new year lunar holidays in china. The interior minister regarded the 14-day isolation method as an overreaction.

Over two dozen countries have halted trade relations. This is because they have confirmed cases of the virus. They are trying to enact control measures. The mortality rates have extended to the outskirts of China i.e., Philippines, Japan, Hongkong, and recently in France, where four people have succumbed to the virus.

Evolution of the name COVID-19

The deadly china virus named following its occurrence. This virus has declared an outbreak as people alarmed by its ability to spread rapidly. Renamed from corona to COVID -19 by the head of world health organization Tedros said that “CO” stands for “corona,” “VI” for “virus” and “D” for “disease,” while “19” was for the year, as the outbreak was first identified on December 31. This terminology attributed to the specific geographical location, animal species, and a group of individuals infected. This nemesis aimed at minimizing stigmatization levels. China is the mother of the virus and defamed as a result.

What is the current situation in China?

Needless to the certainty of controlled situations by the Chinese foreign minister, the rate at which the virus is spreading is tremendous — as different daily statistics recorded of the victims to the virus. Following the outrageous daily spread, Chinese officials have imposed a vehicle ban in Hubei province, where the virus originated. These are legislations to control the normal range. Such measures are to manage the contact between the infected and the healthy.

Some United Staes citizens alleged to have contracted the virus have evacuated from a previously diamond quarantined ship. They are to obtain treatment from a hospital in Japan.

What is COVID-19?

Coronavirus has been a new strain on human health. Research confirms that the disease can spread from infected to uninfected humans. The World Health Organization urges individuals to help in controlling the spread of the disease by reporting any cases, maintaining proper sanitation and hygiene, etc. Some symptoms related to the disease include fever, coughs, shortness of breath, and breathing difficulties. In severe cases, it results in pneumonia, organ failure, and even death. Virulence is predominant in older people and individuals with high blood pressure and diabetic conditions.
