Murder Charges On Four Kenyan Police Officers

Four Kenyan police officers face murder charges of a British Aristocrat. Alex Monson succumbed to death in 2012 in the custody of the four police officers. After thorough scrutiny on the case, the judge finds the four men top suspects in the death of Alex. High court Judge, Erick Ogolla, states that the four policemen have an explanation to make. This is after evidence proves that the late Alex Monson being in perfect condition before his arrest. Only to be found lifeless the following day in the cell where the late was being detained.

Justice for Alex Monson

Nine years later, the case for the murder of the heir to a family estate in Lincolnshire, England, resurfaces. This time, with an intention to bring to justice those responsible for his death. The 28-year-old was son to Nicholas, the 12 Baron Monson, and Hillary Monson. According to the four men, Alex`s arrest was based on drug abuse. Cannabis is the drug of abuse. As a result, his death is a result of an overdose.

However, Alex`s mother refutes that his late son was a drug addict. Reports from two government pathologists confirm Hillary`s defense for his son. Apparently, the death of Alex’s Monson is a result of a traumatic blow to his head. Naftali Chege, Charles Wangombe Munyiri, Baraka Bulima, and Johan Pamba thus stand as the accused police officers.  This case looks forward to rectifying the use of force by Kenyan police on civilians.

Use of force by Kenyan police officers

Kenyan police have long been in the limelight following cases of unwarranted force on civilians.  The cases of abuse further increased following the onset of coronavirus to enforce restrictions put forward. Lives have been lost, and others in injury. In a bid to restore peace between civilians and the law, police officers involved in any cases of abuse of power are to be arraigned and held accountable.

Alex Monson`s case marks a revolution for justice. So far, 45 witnesses have presented their testimonies on the case. All of whom include police officers as well. Thus, the four will face murder charges since the death of Alex presents no external assaults other than from the police cell.
