Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has held high-level discussions with Marcell Bíró, the National Security Adviser to the Hungarian Prime Minister, as both countries move toward formally restoring diplomatic ties.
Bíró, accompanied by Hungary’s Special Envoy for Africa, met with Dbeibah in Tripoli on Monday, November 17, to evaluate the current state of bilateral relations and outline new areas of strategic cooperation.
According to the Hakomitna communication platform, the talks focused on mechandisms to reinstate full diplomatic representation including the potential appointment of an ambassador as a key step toward strengthening political and economic collaboration.
Energy and advanced technologies were major points of discussion, signaling the two nations’ shared interest in building a more modern, future-oriented partnership. Both sides expressed readiness to expand cooperation in sectors that could drive long-term growth and stability.
