Major politicians from Chad

Chad, officially the Republic of Chad, is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It is bordered by Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon, and Nigeria to the southwest and Niger to the west. A country that to me is so hidden but plays an important role in the making of the great African Continent.

As we know, in every country or continent there are politicians that represent the people of the country they reside in. Sadly, we get politicians that either benefits the country or bring the country economy to a downfall. As of the beautiful country of Chad, politicians have had a strong impact on their economy. In this article, I would be introducing a couple of their famous politicians.

Idriss Déby is a Chadian politician who has been the President of Chad since 1990. He is also head of the Patriotic Salvation Movement. Déby is of the Bidyat clan of the Zaghawa ethnic group.

Hissen Habré is a Chadian politician, best known as Chad’s President from 1982 until he was deposed in 1990. He was brought to power with the support of France and the United States, who provided training, arms, and financing.

Félix Malloum was a Chadian politician. He was a member of the ruling Chadian Progressive Party. In 1971, he became the Chief of General Staff with the rank of colonel and named Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces in the year of 1972.

Goukouni Oueddei is a Chadian political figure. He was Head of State of Chad from 1979 to 1982.

Haroun Kabadi is a Chadian politician. He was Prime Minister of Chad from June 2002 to June 2003 and has been President of the National Assembly of Chad since June 2011. He was also a member of the Patriotic Salvation Movement (MPS). From January 1998 to July 1998, where he was the Minister of Communications and Government, Spokesman.

Moussa Faki Mahamat is a Chadian politician and diplomat who has been Chairperson of the African Union Commission since 14 March 2017. He previously uses to be the Prime Minister of Chad.

Emmanuel Djelassem Nadingar is a Chadian politician who served as Prime Minister of Chad. Having such a statue came with a lot of responsibilities such as being a key opposition leader.

Adoum Younousmi is a Chadian politician who served in the government of Chad as Minister of Public Works and Transport from 2003 to 2005 and also got the opportunity to represent his country as a Minister of State for Infrastructure from 2005 to 2011.

To only introduce a few of the influential politicians that have played a role in the economy of Chad.
