Nollywood Actress Omotola Jalade Tested COVID-19 Positive

With Coronavirus (COVID-19) circulating globally, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, the Nollywood movie star, has announced that she tested positive for the feared COVID-19 disease. The actress revealed this on Saturday through her account on Twitter. According to her, she is in solitude and still on medication. On her Instagram page @realomosexy, the popular actress revealed her progress to her fans. Nevertheless, the 42-year-old star said that she’s still in isolation and showing signs of improvement.

She wrote, “Hello All, I know most of you have been wondering where I have been. Well, I contracted COVID. I have been ill and now getting better. More on these details soon.”

Omotola is a Nigerian actress, musician, philanthropist, and a legend in the Nigerian Nollywood industry. She has executed notable exceptions to the film business in Nigeria.

In the meantime, she spoke about the troubling phenomenon of containers in Lagos State, crushing civilian lives to death, and requested Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to fix the crisis. In addition to her business achievements, her fans also commend her outstanding humane and open-minded initiatives.

“I have been reading the devastating news of how our youths are needlessly dying and getting crushed by trailers/containers! This is disheartening and has made my heart troubled! This can happen to anyone, and enforcements can’t be taken lightly on this. Gov @jidesanwoolu!!! Please do something!” she added.

She became the first African star to earn over one million likes on her Facebook account. She has over three million Facebook followers today. Omotola is one of Nigeria’s movie pioneers and became one of Africa’s most viewed actresses.
