In a tragic incident at Nairobi National Park, two planes collided, resulting in at least two fatalities and the fortunate escape of 44 others on Tuesday morning. The collision involved a Dash 8 aircraft owned by Safari Link, en route to Diani with 44 passengers and crew, and a Cessna plane undergoing a training session with two occupants.

The Cessna plane crashed within the park, while the Dash 8 safely returned to Wilson Airport. Both aircraft had taken off from Wilson Airport, and authorities confirmed the loss of two lives in the collision.

Safarilink Aviation, the operator of the Dash 8, acknowledged the incident and reassured that none of their passengers suffered injuries. According to their statement, the flight experienced a loud bang shortly after takeoff, prompting the crew to return to Nairobi-Wilson Airport for inspection promptly. The aircraft landed safely, and all 39 passengers and five crew members were unharmed.
