A South African Biotech introduces a new Disinfectant. Many manufacturers have started to provide sanitizers and disinfectants to combat the spread of COVID-19. And also, to reduce the time of effect on the masses. Countries have also started stopping exports of raw materials and ingredients useful in manufacturing vital products. With this, the rate of producing effective drugs or sanitizers needed to combat the virus.
It is said that workers at the front of the coronavirus pandemic include contract cleaners, health workers. Police, supermarket employees, food manufacturers, and the army. And more who need constant protection from the virus. Biodx, a South African company has spent the last 15 years researching and developing antiviral and antimicrobial technologies for maximum use.
About the disinfectant
“Our company knew 15 years ago that conventional chemicals were not able to fully control modern pathogenic outbreaks. Our Company decided to find sustainable and natural raw materials that are new to the many pathogens”, Burt Rodrigues says CEO of Biodx.
The main ingredient included in Biodx disinfectant has substantial stock and it is fully produced in South Africa. The aim of the firm is to manufacture disinfectants that can keep South Africa safe and disinfected. Dr. Zweli Mkhize the South African Health Minister said on twitter that the rate of increase of the coronavirus infections after locking down the country was not as high as anticipated. He further said the country anticipated 4000 – 5000 infected individuals but as it stands they haven’t had that yet.
Since the outbreak, South Africans are obliged to have observed the lockdown quarantine and procedures. This lockdown will be observed by all except those under special circumstances which includes needing to buy essential groceries and necessary personnel. Furthermore, South Africans had just successfully developed their flu vaccinations. Also, this achievement will assist the strained medical system as they won’t have to go to the hospital for flu treatment since they cannot contact it anymore.
