The Luanda Carnival returns after the epidemic, urging Angolans to dance.

Manuel Dos Santos Macaia said, “We came as a family to teach the youngsters the value of carnival.” “Now that we’re dancing again, we feel good,” says dancer Joaquina Menez Andre. “Carnival is my joy.”

The Sambadrome in Luanda hosts a big procession. Angola’s biggest event is carnival, with its vivid colors, libations, patriotic celebrations, and Brazilian-themed parties.

We’re dancing carnival to show how the União do Recreativo de Kilamba group has innovated to speak truth. “Angolan Traditions and Memories” proves it.

“Now in 2023 we are here with tremendous strength, great drive, doing our best and I beg those in power to consider who is working and above all to appreciate the job we are doing” because it’s too much effort if we can’t dance here!
Joaquina Menez André was thrilled for the largest celebration of the year.

“After two years without dancing, I was constantly melancholy, but now that we’re beginning to dance again, it’s wonderful for us, rediscovering pleasure, carnival, a really Fantastic party.”

A there-day celebration is held before Ash Wednesday. The biggest and liveliest procession takes place on Tuesday, making it the most significant day.
