The Kremlin announced on Thursday that an African delegation would be visiting Moscow to present an initiative to end the conflict in Ukraine.

The Chinese government has dispatched a special envoy to Europe to promote the Chinese government’s plan to mediate peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has stated that both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed to meet with African leaders, though he has not provided any additional information about the African plan.

The Kremlin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters that “a group of countries will indeed send a delegation, which will also be in Moscow,” though the exact dates had not yet been agreed upon.

“We have already stated that we are prepared to listen with great attention to any proposals that will contribute to resolving the situation in Ukraine,” he said.
