Manslaughter charges against Lagos teachers

The trial of a Nigerian secondary school employees charged with manslaughter in the death of a 12-year-old girl is due to begin in May.

The kid from Chrisland High School died of asphyxiation and electrocution, as established by an autopsy.

Upon her death, the facility has been shut down. The school was shut down about a year ago after the incident of a sex tape while on a trip to Dubai.

Recently, a number of schools in the Lagos region have been closed due to the deaths of students. These incidents have included bullying, a terrible accident. It was originally thought to be the drowning of a pupil during a swimming lesson.

Parents and residents are demanding stricter monitoring at a number of schools.

Others have advocated for harsher sanctions to be administered to the schools. This is to guarantee that the administration is held responsible and that similar tragedies do not again.
