Guinea confiscates 1.5 tons of cocaine.

According to official television, the nation of GuineaGuinea confiscates 1.5 tons of cocaine in West Africa made a seizure of around 1.5 metric tons of cocaine from a ship flying the flag of Sierra Leone that was moored in the city of Kamsar.

A statement released by the Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, said more than sixty bags, each containing twenty-five kilograms of cocaine, were discovered. According to Radio Television Guineenne, all 10 crew members were taken into custody.

Several nations in West Africa are used by drug traffickers as points of passage for the transportation of cocaine from South America to Europe.

A ship that was moored in Guinean seas in August of the previous year had about three tons of cocaine confiscated from it.
