The “Grow Western 2023 initiative,” which is a comprehensive program designed specifically for the Western Region, was recently introduced by Vodafone Ghana.
By implementing this program, Vodafone intends to promote customer loyalty, enhance health care, broaden people’s understanding of technology, and encourage the expansion of existing communities.
“Our participation in Grow Western is symbolic of our dedication to the expansion and improvement of the Western Region. According to a statement released yesterday in Accra by Vodafone Ghana’s Consumer Business Director, David Umoh, “We aim to contribute meaningfully to customer loyalty, health care, and education.” “We believe in the power of community and aim to contribute meaningfully to customer loyalty, health care, and education.”
He said that Vodafone’s commitment to rewarding loyalty was one of the most important aspects of the project, and he also mentioned that the telecommunications firm was organizing events to honor its customers and partners in the region.
In addition to this, he said that Vodafone was also ramping up its commercial activities in the area by way of Merchant Storms, sales events, and a strategic relationship with the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), which would allow drivers to buy gasoline using Vodafone Cash. He explained that this will take place in the coming weeks.
As part of its Connected Health initiative, the Vodafone Ghana Foundation will serve as the driving force behind several different health programs.
Patients who cannot pay their hospital fees will get free National Health Insurance cards as part of the “Homecoming” program.
Because more pregnant moms in rural regions will be able to get prenatal care on time thanks to a program called “Rural Ultrasound Scan,” the maternal death rate will decrease. The event called “Healthfest” will provide free medical exams to diagnose and prevent health issues at an early stage.
The Connected Education initiative of the Foundation will introduce STEM activities to elementary schools to enhance learning outcomes and bridge the gap between the two technological spheres. This endeavor aims to cultivate a younger generation that is proficient in technological skills and prepared to meet the difficulties posed by the current world.
The Vodafone Retail Transformation initiative, which has already resulted in the opening of Vodafone Community Shops throughout the country, is also being carried out in the area.
The initiative kicked out in June of this year and has already successfully opened 43 Vodafone Community Shops nationwide. In addition, another 72 are now in the planning stages.
The ‘Grow Western’ initiative has resulted in the opening of 12 new businesses in the area.
