Covid-19 Cases Slowing Down in Some States as Others Brace for a Possible Surge

[post_slider]

COVID-19

Weeks ago, we noted a rapid increase in COVID-19 incidents worldwide. Governments had to call for strict measures against the virus outbreak, including social distancing and the use of sanitizers. Furthermore, it called for school and businesses closure. Due to panic and fear, many have imposed those necessary measures. Moreover, prevention is a good thing than to cure.

According to the survey contacted, the numbers are showing a significant reduction, especially in the United States. Despite the rise of deaths, the slowdown in new infections is boosting hope. People are now optimistic that aggressive mitigation efforts are helping to contain the virus.

The need to hold on to safety measures

Although the safety measures outlaid by the World Health Organization are showing a positive effect, it is high time we focus more. Governors of the United States urge citizens not to relax the measures but to gear up. Most of them are emphasizing on the need to keep up the ongoing practices for a brighter future.

For instance, New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo says if we relax the measures, the curve will change to the worst. He adds that chats are showing the progress in every state. Andrew urges everyone in the country to have a close look at the plotted data to stay updated. You can stay tuned by clicking the image in each chat.

As of Wednesday, the United States had recorded at least 402,900 cases, with more than 13,000 deaths. However, the tally in new numbers is falling thanks to the measures imposed by the government. Now, states are seeing a reduction in newly reported cases, although the death rate is still high. New York is one among the touched states.

Optimistic and positive outlook

Health officials have noted the number of deaths against the newly reported cases in recent days, and there is a sense of hope. A large number of officials are concerned about how the virus is spreading and the expected deaths if the worst happens. The other States have also recorded a slowdown in news cases, including Washington, Maine, Louisiana, Ohio as well as New Jersey.

Others like West Virginia, Kentucky and Delaware are recording an increase in their new cases. On the other hand, Louisiana governor, John Bel Edwards says on Wednesday that there is a lower trajectory for case growth. Although the overall number is high, the rate of growth in the hospitals is a bit flattened compared to last month.

Edward also says that ventilator use on COVID-19 patients is considerably reducing. On Tuesday, he said that the state no longer speculates to run out of ventilators for the next two weeks. It is good news to the citizens of the United States as people won’t die for lack of adequate ventilator.

Conclusion

Bottom- line here is to hold on to these measures despite the reductions of new cases. Furthermore, I call upon all other nations to take the outlaid rules seriously as they are working great. We need to fight more now than ever for us to remain safe and healthy.
