[post_slider]

CAR is yet to experience peace following the December 27 elections that launched violence from Rebels. Seeking foreign is already in play to combat the situation. Nonetheless, the rebels remain adamant. As a result, on Thursday, CAR declared a state of emergency. The country officials believe that this will help to fight the insurgents. Moreover, the UN is calling out for more deployment of peacekeepers into the country. Apparently, the government would appreciate every little help they could now more than ever to help bring the country to its feet.

Reason for the Attacks

Before the beginning of the rebels’ attacks, the Central African Republic put measures to impede the attacks. Rebels had launched attacks even before the election dates set following the dismissal of Francois Bozize`s candidacy for president. According to the CAR court, Bozize` fails the right morals. Moreover, he didn’t have the international approval to allow him to seek the presidency. According to the UN, he is answerable to assassination attempts and other human rights cases. His supporters were not happy to hear the news of his revoked presidential candidacy.

Foreign Aid in CAR

For this reason, foreign aid from the Russian government and Rwandan troops are the country to help. The elections declared President Faustine-Archange Touadera, the winner of the polls. However, UN envoy Mankeur Ndiaye affirms that more peacekeepers are needed to help enforce the mission in Place. The 15-day state of emergency is a more effective means to help detain suspects. Albert Yaloke, the CAR government spokesman, affirms that the military will not have to follow the procedure of going through prosecutors.

Effects of the attacks so far

On Thursday, Ndiaye confirmed that the level of a security breach in the country was fatal. Seven peace keeps were confirmed dead as of last month. A rough figure of about 60,000 nationals has fled the country as a result. Ndiaye affirms that there are a number of CAR troops who have fled the situation. This is because most CAR troops are not equipped with the necessary skills to help fight the attacks. Hence the need for foreign forces at the moment.
