A Bulawayo woman went crazy and viciously struck her husband with an axe. Apparently, they had a misunderstanding over which programs to watch on the television. The occurrence happened on Friday night at Bulawayo’s Emganwini suburb. Supposedly Ordetta Mpofu 44  hacked her significant other, Mr. Thembani Mpofu 52-year-old. He was a worker of the Bulawayo City Council. She cut him multiple times on the head. All this was for neglecting to help her during the disagreement about the remote control with their little girl.

On the said day, the charged was viewing the TV with the deceased and their two kids. What started the scuffle was the point at which their little girl unexpectedly changed the channel they were viewing. This didn’t settle well with the woman who began pitching a fit. A warmed fight at that point resulted in Mrs. Mpofu requesting her little girl to return to the previous channel.

All the while, the husband did not mediate. He retired to bed. He had no idea his wife was so aggravated by his actions. She later went on to kill him for not helping her in scolding the little girl.

In the wake of accomplishing her deadly action, Ordetta then came back to the parlor and disclosed to her little girl that she had murdered her dad. Along these lines, the girl told her sibling who made a police report bringing about Ordetta’s capture.

Bulawayo police rep Inspector Abednigo Ncube affirmed the occurrence. He said examinations are right now in progress. Likewise, Ncube uncovered that Ordetta admitted to her having executed her better half. The man worked in the Engineering Department at the neighborhood authority. Police spokesperson for Bulawayo, inspector Abednico Ncube affirmed that the incident occurred. The investigations are underway.

A case of mental sickness

“Police in Bulawayo are investigating a case of murder which occurred on 10 April in Emganwini. On the day at around 7.45 pm, the now deceased (father) was watching television with his wife and their two children,” said Insp Ncube.

A source said the woman was mentally ill and because of the lockdown, she had not managed to get her medication.

A police report was made by the police at the crime scene and found the man dead. The woman was captured and is helping police with examinations. Insp Ncube asked the general public to resolve any dispute or fights they may have politely.
