Kamala Harris concludes her tour to Ghana, leaves for Tanzania.

US Vice President Kamala Harris met with Ghanaian women entrepreneurs to discuss economic growth. It was her last day in Accra before leaving for Tanzania in her week-long African tour

Following Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Harris is the most recent high-ranking US official to go to Africa to offset expanding Chinese and Russian influence.

Kamala Harris has been busy in Ghana since her arrival on Sunday, meeting with President Nana Akufo-Addo, She attended a state dinner, speaking to students on innovation and women’s empowerment. Then visited a “slave fortress” where thousands of Africans were held before being transported to the Americas.

Thursday she will visit President Samia Suluhu Hassan in Dar es Salaam, the economic center of Tanzania. After her conversation with female business entrepreneurs in Ghana.

She departs on Friday for Zambia, where she will meet with President Hakainde Hichilema and participate in a number of other events. She will depart Zambia on Saturday and return to the United States on Sunday.
