Who is Fola David?

Adotemi Gbadamosi alias Fola David is renowned for his immense art and medical skill. The lad has taken to engaging in two rewarding careers in his life, with one being a talent. He states being a medical doctor, and visual artist requires arduous work and discipline. Fola has natured his skill as a visual artist based on inspiration from work. i.e., since he works as a skin doctor, most of his portraits are from photoshoots of his patients. Fola David got the alias name following his prior arts named Fola David.

He says he started drawing while in primary school. From which a teacher, who loved his art, rewarded him N50. This sign of appreciation impelled the lad hence started directing his stamina to dance at a young age.

However, since he was brilliant in school, his parents pushed him to pursue medicine. Because he was an exceptionally industrious man, he continued both medicine and art. Especially as his parents were supportive of the school, they directed most of his vigor to his academics.

Medical doctor and visual artist

As a medical doctor, he focuses on skin conditions affecting individuals. Some of these conditions include; spots, vitiligo, stretch marks, wrinkles, ichthyosis, and many others. The lad remains enthusiastic about his profession because he helps transform people’s lives hence has served in the hospital for a great time.

Fola started his art as a pencil artist. After two years, he discovered speed painting, which he challenged himself to perfect. Many loved his first attempt, for it amazed them. This unanticipated reaction endorsed his growth. As a visual artist, he states he draws and paints different pictures. Though, most of his portraits instigated by his patients. He says bases his art on beauty and emotions. Many a time he draws his patients with consent from their relatives, after which he exhibits them. His great works earn him fame and money. His motive for drawing his patients is to heighten their self-esteem. It is his way of encouraging them to stay jovial despite their ill health.

Challenges

A jerk of two demanding trades, he faces many challenges. His road to success has not been a walk in the park. For instance, as a medical student, he had to cope with both academic demands and appointments. At first, he admitted it was frantic, but with commitment, he surpassed. However, certain instances seemed improbable, and he prioritized his academics. Because of long reading hours and working on art, he never had enough sleep; hence a time extended his sleep to the classroom before his lectures begun.

Advice 

Based on Fola’s achievement, he thinks parents should be to support their children’s passion. He emphasizes that despite education being vital, talents should be natured from a young age. Especially as with the changing times, job markets will be diverse in the entertainment sector. He says with ultimate support, there are less tension and stress, for motivation accompanies it. When children stimulated to pursue their passion, they end up becoming great people in society as some children are excellent in extra-curricular activities to academics. Provided there is a commitment, discipline, and hard work, the path to success becomes stress-free.
