26 Universities Under CUE Investigation in Kenya

[post_slider]

The body regulating tertiary education in Kenya, the Commission for University Education (CUE) has started an investigation on 26 different universities for admitting students to some unapproved courses.

According to a report by the commission, some universities are offering over 120-degree courses that have not been granted approval which leads to exposing more than 10,000 students in various universities to delays in their journey to start their educational career.

This has led to a big concern for stakeholders and regulatory bodies like the Kenya University, College Central Placement Sevice and the agency in charge of University activities, as various universities are now completing the admission process for the 2019 session.

The Commission, however, gave an immediate order for all universities in the country to stop the admission process until the investigation by the commission is concluded.
