From the deaths of Kobe Bryant and George Floyd to outbreaks of diseases, the world is finding it hard to cope with. First of all, we start with the coronavirus that began as a joke in China. The virus has already killed thousands of people and destroyed the global economy affecting millions of people worldwide. Now the Chinese are dealing with new Plague, the bubonic.

Countries are struggling to control the spread of the coronavirus through various measures to save the remaining lives. However, we see the coronavirus crippling nations and making them cry day and night as the virus cases keep on soaring. A country such as the United States is recording thousands of deaths every day. How long will it take before the virus sweeps the whole of the US?

Did the China ‘manufactured’ the coronavirus and spread it to the world? The country now reports an outbreak of another disease(The Bubonic Plague). It is called the bubonic plague. Is this plague going to be worse than the coronavirus? Imagine how the globe would be.

People are now considering China as the epicenter of the world’s diseases because of its strange diseases like hantavirus and the earlier ones mentioned.

The bubonic plague

The condition is obtained from Yersinia pestis found in fleas. 1-7 days after being exposed to the bacteria, flu-like signs and symptoms develop. These symptoms comprise headache, fever, and severe vomiting. There are appearances of swollen and very painful lymph nodes on the region where the bacteria accessed the human skin. Its diagnosis is through locating the bacteria in human blood or sputum. To prevent one from contracting the plague, one has to avoid dead animals in regions where the disease is common. Antibiotics are effective for the treatment.

Man contracts bubonic plague

In 2010-2015 there were over 580 fatalities. The DRC, Madagascar, and Peru have the most cases of the Bubonic plague. In the 14th century, the disease killed about 50 million people in Asia, Africa, and Europe. This was over half of the population in the European region.

Current updates of the Plague

The deadly plague comes back to China after a long period, claiming more than one life in the western part of Mongolia. One of the victims was 17 years, and the other one was 27 years. After the case in Bayan Nur, over 140 people are under quarantine to prevent the plague. Reports said that the two people had earlier eaten marmot flesh.

People react in twitter

After the reports spread all over the social media platforms, people commented that this year has been the year of pandemic. Others said that given a chance, they would leave planet Earth and go to settle on Mars if possible. As China continues to experience outbreaks, it is indeed the country that everyone needs to be vigilant and cautious about.
