Ramaphosa to Sign National Health Insurance Bill

Two influential business organizations, Business Unity South Africa and Business for South Africa, have voiced their support for universal health coverage but raised reservations about the bill’s “design and implementation.” They have called for a return to parliament for necessary amendments.
The NHI bill, set to be rolled out in multiple stages at a substantial cost, has garnered popularity among voters as South Africa enters a competitive election year.
