On Wednesday, Morocco’s official news agency said that King Mohammed VI’s doctor advised him to stay home and relax due to a cold.

According to Senegalese state media, King Mohammed, 59, who makes all major decisions in the North African monarchy, was scheduled to visit Senegal on Wednesday.

Although, the palace did not announce the visit. Palace officials have commented on the King’s health. This was after heart surgery in 2018, lung illness in 2019, and COVID-19 last year.

Since his father Hassan II died of a heart attack in 1999, the monarch has led the longest-ruling Muslim dynasty.

However, His Crown Prince, Moulay El Hassan, replaced his father on overseas trip.
Last week, King Mohammed visited with Gabon’s President.

Morocco has sought backing from West African nations for its stance on the disputed Western Sahara area.
